Our church is led by Senior Pastor Teresa L. Hyden and Executive Pastor Thomas E. Hyden, a dynamic duo passionate about sharing the love of Jesus Christ with their community.
Senior Pastor Teresa L. Hyden is a graduate of the University of Redlands with a master’s degree in Management from the School of Business. She has held executive-level leadership positions in the public sector business, successfully managing hundreds of millions of dollars. God has granted her exceptional favor throughout her career. As a result, she has used her knowledge and influence to benefit the Kingdom of God.
As a second-generation pastor and daughter of one of our founders, Bishop Timothy L. Witcher, Pastor Teresa has served in a multitude of areas in church ministry. Teresa has a passion for the leadership of God’s people and believes that equipping individuals to be fruitful citizens of God’s Kingdom is of utmost importance.
Teresa is an avid knowledge-seeker who loves to sing and relax with family and friends. She is committed to God, first and foremost; her husband and her family; the church ministry and her church family; and to being a life-long learner.
Teresa is married to the love of her life, Thomas E. Hyden, who is her partner in the ministry and the executive pastor of Christian Covenant Church. They have been married for over 30 years and worked together in music ministry, administration, and Christian education.
Together, Pastors Teresa and Thomas lead a vibrant and growing church that is committed to reaching their community with the love of Jesus Christ. They believe that the church is more than just a building or an organization, but a family of believers who are committed to loving God, with loving one another, and extending God’s love to all people.
